Workshop FAQ's

What kind of workshops do you do? Anything fibre related and I’m always open to proposals.

What time are classes scheduled?  Classes run between 9 and 5:30 and vary in time, see the class description on the workshop page for the exact time slot.

What do you pay your instructors? I work with each individual instructor based on a number of criteria.

Are materials included for the classes? Read each class description carefully, sometimes the fee includes all the materials, but sometimes there is a material fee in addition to the class fee.

Can I shop during my class?  All workshops include a vendor hall entry fee - you’ll be provided your Goldy button in your class or if your class is later you can come to the entry table at the vendor hall and say you are taking a class and someone can help you get your Goldy button which gets you in and out of the vendor hall during 11-4 your free to shop during those hours but during your class time it’s important to be in your class.  Please be on time (or even early) for your class as all classes start on time.

What if I don’t finish my project in class?  All classes will be provided with “finishing” instructions and all of the instructors are available via email to ask questions once you are at home.

Can I take more than one class? You are more than welcome to do so but be aware that the vendor hall for shopping is only open from 11-4.

Do you do a social event?  Yes Goldy’s Gathering takes place on the evening prior to the festival and is always a lot of fun!
